Pathologist

Job Group R

Contract: 5 Years

Duties and Responsibilities will entail; 

Applying the principles and procedures of modern medicine in diagnosing disease and injury using specialized diagnostic techniques and intervening where appropriate; respond to all calls of duty by the medical doctor on duty, whether emergency or otherwise, as quickly as possible; physically review all patients and instruct in writing all recommendations; observe timeliness in service delivery at all time; provide education for prevention of disease and promotion of health; participate in outreach health activities; and performing complex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

(v) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; Ch.B.) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;

(vi) Masters degree in Pathology (MMED PATHOLOGY) or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution

(vii) Registered by the Medical Practitioners’ and Dentist Board or Relevant Professional Body

(viii) Member of relevant professional association

(iv) Demonstrable skills and experience in various clinical areas with atleast three (3) years experience 

(v) Registered as a consultant by the Medical Practitioners’ and Dentist Board

NOTE:

Candidates shortlisted for the interviews for the above position will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by submitting copies of the following: 

• Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

• Tax Compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

• Clearance from the Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

• Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

• Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
