Terms of Service: Contract for three (3) years

Remuneration: As per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) guidelines

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Approve the Board’s Strategic Plan and Budget.
  2. Oversight Administration of Revenue collection.
  3. Formulate and implement strategies to maximize collections from all revenue streams in the County.
  4. Supervise and monitor performance of staff of the Board;
  5. Ensure the Board complies with Laws and Codes.
  6. Identify the risk areas and oversee risk management with regard to revenue collection
  7. Establish partnerships towards the goal of revenue maximization;
  8. Represent the interest of the County Government of Homa Bay.
  9. Advising the County Executive Committee on all matters related to administration and collection of revenue under County laws
  10. Helping in the design and implementation of the boards plan to achieve revenue growth.
  11. Initiating measures to ensure compliance with relevant revenue legislations.
  12. Carry out such other roles necessary for the implementation of the objects and purpose of Homa Bay County Revenue Board Act 2022.

Requirements for Appointment

  1.  Be a Kenyan Citizen
  2.  Have a minimum of a Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences and Business Administration.
  3. Have knowledge and experience of at least five years in matters relating to, Business, Finance and Accounts;
  4. Have a distinguished career in the field of Finance and experience in Public Administration
  5. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
