Terms of Service: Contract for three years

Remuneration: As per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) guidelines

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Approve the Board’s Strategic Plan and Budget.
  • Mobilize potential investment opportunities and facilitate investment partnerships on behalf of the government.
  • Undertake investment promotion activities locally and internationally.
  • Assist in offering investment facilitation services to both local and foreign investors.
  • Assist the Board in ensuring the proper and effective performance of the corporation.
  • Supervise and monitor staff of the Board.
  • Ensure the Board complies with laws, codes, and investment regulations.
  • Represent the interest of the County Government of Homa Bay.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Advising the County Executive Committee on all matters related to the administration of investment opportunities.
  • Carry out such other roles necessary for the implementation of the objectives and purpose of the Homa Bay County Investment and Development Corporation Act, 2020.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Have a minimum of a Diploma in industry, Trade, Business, Investment Social Sciences, and any other relevant courses from institutions recognized in Kenya.
  • Possession of a degree and master’s certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Have knowledge and experience of at least five years in matters relating to Investments, Entrepreneurship, Development, Business, and Industry.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
