Terms of Service: – 5 Year Contract

Duties and Responsibilities
• Overall coordination, management and administration of compliance  with the county legislations and policies.
• Inspection of enforcement and compliance of trade permits, and other related standards as prescribed from time to time
• A thorough knowledge of handling Human Resource Issues is a prerequisite
• Ensure protection of County property and strategic installations, exit and entry barriers in the county
• Development, implementation and evaluation of compliance strategies and policies in the County
• Mapping all areas that require regular compliance monitoring services
• Enforce all County laws and other relevant legislations
• Facilitate prosecution and defence in liaison with relevant county and state organs in consultation with relevant supervisory offices
• Provide mutual aid and assistance to other law enforcement agencies as requested and or when circumstances dictates
• Conduct inspections in the County installations to ensure the assets are secure
• Collect, preserve and maintain evidences and exhibits confiscated from scenes of crime or law breakers record reports, incidences and responses and testify in court as may be required

Requirement for Appointment 

• Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences from a university recognized in Kenya or be a person who has served at the level of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) or equivalent in the disciplined forces
• Seven (7) years’ experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a senior management level in an institution either in public or private sector
• Ability to handle disputes and solve problems amicably
• Good understanding of County laws, policies and procedures
• Experience in County Government administration is an added advantage;
• Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competence as reflected in work performance and results;
• Be conversant with policy formulation, implementation and enforcement;
• Be a strategic thinker and result oriented;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution;
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity;
• Be computer literate.
