Trade, Industry, Tourism, Cooperative Development and Marketing
This department is responsible for the implementation of national trade and tourism policies at the county level. They promote investments, provide business development services, and coordinate the development of micro, small, and medium businesses engaged in trade. They also manage credit schemes for small businesses, collect business information, and promote fair trade practices. In addition, they facilitate intra and inter-county trade, manage county physical markets, and promote consumer protection. In the area of tourism, they develop and implement county tourism development plans, coordinate and facilitate the management of county-specific tourism matters, and develop partnerships with private sector players to promote tourism in the county.
