The Department of Trade, Industry, Tourism, Co-operarive Development and Marketing through the Directorate of Tourism is planning to host the 1st Roan Antelope Half Marathon Event. The Inaugural running-for-conservation event will take place at the Roan Antelope Sanctuary within Ruma National Park in Homa Bay County on 5th and 6th May 2023 under the theme �Running with the Roans in the Wild�. The main objective of the event is to conserve the rare Roan Antelope and to market Homa Bay County as an International Tourism Destination. The event has been approved by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the Athletics Kenya.
