GOVERNOR AWITI LIFTS REVENUE SUSPENSION.
Governor Cyprian Awiti has called on all traders to resume paying levies following the lifting of the eleven months Covid 19 2019 waiver that was put in place to caution them from the economic effects of the pandemic.
Speaking to the press following the approval of the Supplementary budget for financial year 2020/2021 by the County assembly at his office, He thanked the Assembly for passing the budget, paving way for development.
The County Assembly Speaker Hon. Elizabeth Ayoo said the Assembly has tabled the BBI Constitutional Amendment Bill 2020 and submitted it to the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee for commencement of Public Participation.
She promised that the Assembly would work tirelessly to ensure that the bill passes by next week after which it shall be forwarded to the Speakers of both the National Assembly and the Senate.
Awiti thanked the Nurses for ending their month long strike and appealed to other Health Care Providers to equally resume their duties.
