GOVERNOR AWITI ASSENTS THREE BILLS
H.E Governor Cyprian Awiti has signed into law three bills including the Homa Bay County valuation and rating bill 2020 and the Homa Bay County Finance Bill 2020 meant to improve revenue, taxation, rates among factors affecting the county during this pandemic.
“The rating and valuation bills will ensure all properties are valued and properly calculated,” said Awiti.
He was flanked by legislators from the County Assembly led by county speaker Hon. Elizabeth Ayoo, who acknowledged the process of public participation during the formulation of the bills.
“We also established the county disaster, emergency and management regulation to institute a proper structure to manage disaster funding,” she said.
