COUNTY VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTIONS GET BOOST OF ASSORTED EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS FROM WORK AID
As part of efforts to promote a sustainable economy and enhance the productivity of our youth and women in the county, work aid in partnership with the county government of Homa Bay will hand over a consignment of assorted vocational training tools and equipment worth kshs 2 million in March, 2018.
Work aid will hand over 114 boxes of assorted equipment including; sewing machines, knitting machines, masonry kits, carpentry and mechanic kits that will be help our youth acquire quality vocational skills.
County resource mobilizer in the office of the Governor, Mr. Richard Bonyo, said the partnership is based on a request by the Governor H.E Cyprian Awiti through the local community to equip our vocational training institutions to eventually enhance the economic stimulus of the county.
The equipment will be distributed to all the vocational training institutions across the eight sub counties.
Work aid is a charity organization founded in 1986 dedicated to helping people help themselves to tackle poverty in East Africa.
