AWITI LEADS SAFARICOM EXODUS IN THE COUNTY
Homa Bay Governor H.E Cyprian Awiti on Wednesday led the people of Homa bay in migrating from Safaricom to Airtel service provider.
The move spearheaded by NASA is an economic boycott aimed at companies that aided the subversion of the will of the people.
The Governor in the company of his deputy H.E Hamilton Orata, newly appointed county executive members and a number of county assembly members visited the Airtel shop in Homa Bay town.
Governor Awiti encouraged his supporters to join the migration to Airtel service provider.
The move is among strategies the National Super Aliance Resistance Movement has employed across counties to bring the companies down to their knees.
“We are in solidarity with NASA’s move to boycott products and services of companies that played a role in subverting the will of the people,” Awiti said. He urged the people of Homa Bay to leave Safaricom and opt for Airtel, the second largest telecommunications operator in the country.
